Day 1

Day 2

Start with a morning donut at Ike’s Donut Shop. Explore the Downtown Historic District area filled with historical buildings. The Summit Barber Shop has been standing since 1905, and the Osage Hotel was built in the 1920s. The Burford Theatre, once a movie theatre in 1924, today is renovated and hosts 1920 themed events. Learn about the early pioneers and the 1893 Land Rush at Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum. Tours are held at the museum to explore Etzanoa: The Lost City, a lost Native American city. Day 3

Check out the 25-foot-tall Cowley County Falls, a mesmerizing waterfall and fishing lake to catch fish, hunt and camp. Shopping is always a must before heading out. Ark City offers fashion, antiques and keepsakes. Fashionable women and men apparel is located at Factory Connect. Bring home some gifts from Bee’Tween Friends and check out vintage finds at Calvert’s Antique Station. Complete your last day at The Grinder Man, serving sandwiches, soup and cookies.

Plan your trip around Arkalalah every October or The Last Run Car Show takes place in September. About ten minutes east of the city, watch the Mid America Dragway for car enthusiasts. There are plenty of events to kick off your Ark City trip.
